This stunning Victorian antique dates to c. 1865-1867 according to the double anchor hallmark on the bottom. This intricately and expertly cast piece features a double-handle urn style with a floral Victorian motif. The border is scalloped in order to hold and display celery, which in Victorian times was extremely rare and expensive and was displayed in vases like this to show off the owner’s wealth. This piece has a delicious and warm patina with naturally-occurring rainbow toning. The bottom is stamped “W.M. Rogers MFG. Co Hartford Connecticute/ Rogers / Quadruple 102”.
