Today we are offering a sweet doll which was made by Madame Alexander, circa 1930/40s. This is a composition 13″ doll with an open mouth revealing 4 teeth, original mohair (or human?) wig, blue tin sleep eyes with full lashes. Her composition body is jointed at her neck, shoulders and hips. She still sports her original polka dot dress costume which displays a sewn tag that reads “McGuffy Ana” alongside “Madame Alexander, N.Y. U.S.A.” and “Reg No. 350.781”, a red rayon coat which is also tagged, cotton eyelet trimmed onesie with an attached petticoat, rayon socks, oilcloth side snap short boots, and a big straw hat with applied flowers and a red satin ribbon tie. The doll’s head is marked with a T on a circle logo and her body is marked 13 on her upper back. This lovely doll is hard to find in this original condition and will be a great addition to any doll collection.
