We are excited to offer this vintage New-Old-Stock western style shirt/blouse, featuring tasteful embroidering, red snaps, slit pockets and sharp styling overall. Tem-Tex began making ‘western’ shirts in the mid 1940’s, and we suspect this cardinal red, 35% cotton blend (65% polyester) example to be from the late 70’s or early 80’s. The size is a ladies 34. Please see specific measurements below; but as a reference, for scale, our female model is 5’2″, 130lbs. (she is full-busted and the shirt fits a bit tight at the midriff for her) and our male model is 5’8″, 130lbs. and the shirt fits him comfortably (see images). We say it’s a ladies shirt because the snaps are on the left side rather than the right. Who knows why tailors have done that for centuries?Armpit-to-armpit (pardon the term) measurement is 20″Inside Arm: 19″Outside Arm: 23″Shoulders: 15.5″Collar: 15″Height, from front waist hem to above collar button: 22″Care instructions (hand wash only, dry clean recommended) on the manufacturer’s tag are intact. The item is odor-free and apparently never worn though some minor wrinkles and smirches from occasional handling are evident (see images). Surely these would all disappear once laundered. Expect no unpleasant surprises… the shirt is odor-free and ready to wear. If you are looking to take your cow-gal/rockabilly game to the next level, this shirt is for you!
