Here we have a stunning 60 piece Gorham “Greenbrier” pattern sterling flatware set, in a handsome “Pacific Silver Cloth”-lined presentation case. The gadrooning floral theme reliefs on the handles throughout this set are easy on the eyes and impart a casually elegant feel. In ready-to-use condition, with negligible surface imperfections overall, consistent with occasional use and handling. The next owner may enjoy increasing the ‘bling’ factor with an easy round of light polishing, which we declined to do since nothing is objectionable about their appearance, as-is.
The presentation case is a very sturdy bit of cabinetry with nice ‘modern’ lines that will make it a nice addition to any mid-century themed setting. There are a few minor knicks and abrasions on the face of it, though nothing that couldn’t be immediately obviated with a bit of old english-type product. The drawers and lid both track superbly and the “prevents tarnish” Pacific SilverCloth lining is immaculate.
