Today we are pleased to offer a partial LOT of Theodore Haviland Limoges porcelain demitasse cups and saucers in the Apple Blossom pattern. This lot includes 5 cups and 2 saucers; cups are 2 3/4″ h; saucer are 5″. These lovely dishes were made by this well respected company in the Limoges section of France and date to the early 20th century. Not to be confused with the later Apple Blossom New York pattern made in the US. This pattern seems to have been made by T Haviland in many editions and variations; we have seen them identified as Schleigher 59H and Schleiger 146N, depending upon the extent of the gilded details. These are considered “double gold” because of the two decorative bands of gilding around the edges. They are marked “Theodore Haviland, Limoges, FRANCE, Patent applied for” as well as an impressed “TH” on the cups. This is an incomplete set comprised of 5 demitasse cups and 2 saucers. All pieces are in very good, used, antique condition, no chip or cracks. There is wear to the gilding, particularly on the cups handles, as to be expected from an item of this age. Please also take a moment to see our other listings for additional dinner pieces as well as several hard to find serving pieces. Fresh to the market from a Rhode Island estate.
