Today we are offering a pair of over-scaled, rare and important hand cut crystal glass chalices. These pieces are decorated with cross-hatch cuts and a delicate floral bouquet along with a monogram of “GW” (George Washington?) or WG”. Based on the size and important stature of these goblets, we’re surmising that they originally had some institutional use in perhaps a university, fraternal organization or church? Both pieces are in excellent antique condition with expected shelf-wear scratches on the bottoms, and nothing but typical tiny imperfections from the manufacturing process otherwise.
