Today we are happy to offer for sale a fabulous antique Czech glass seltzer bottle by Sparklets!
This fine bottle is crafted from Czechoslovakian glass with a fine, intricate lattice of metal mesh overlay encasing it from bottom to top. A metal cap covers the neck and allows the metal siphon to attach; the metal frame is made in the USA. A Bakelite housing for gas canisters (what gives the seltzer its fizz) attaches to the siphon. Inside, a removable straw with a rubber top reaches down the length of the bottle. A decorative dark red stripe runs around the upper part of the bottle against the glass. The bottom is stamped “Made in Czechoslovakia” and “575”.
Bottle presents well and is in good antique condition, with minor wear, tarnish, and patina commensurate with age and use. There is a cosmetic split in the metal covering part of the neck and minor discoloration. Add a touch of class to any home bar this holiday season with this fantastic example of craftsmanship!
