Description
Today we are offering a nice coin silver spoon with a fiddle back design and bright cut and embossed design on the handle. It is marked on the back of the handle “H C Foster” and “Pat” in additional illegible numbers. We believe this was a Providence, Rhode Island silversmith, and dates to the early/mid 19th century. This spoon is monogrammed “PK” at the handle tip and very lightly etched “Florence” on the back. The spoon measures just over 6″ and weighs 14.2 grams. Please see complete condition description above and take a good look at all photos. A lovely, very early piece of coin silver and part of our shared national heritage.
