Today we are offering a sweet Victorian child’s knife and fork set with sterling embossed bands, fork and blade, and pearlized handles. This set is well hallmarked with the following: lion passant, Victoria in profile, E (date mark) in a square and anchor as well as GU. The hallmarks date these pieces to 1853, during Queen Victoria’s reign, and made by George Unite in Birmingham, England. The knife measures just under 5 1/2″ and the fork just under 5″. The handles are carved nacre, or mother of pearl with wonderful luminescence.
This is a wonderful opportunity to add these sweet children’s utensils to your collection. Fresh to the market!
