Today we are excited to offer for sale an ULTRA RARE R. Marino 1997 Alien Anatomy prototype toy in box! Not much is known about the obscure R. Marino toy company other than that they put out some really cool alien and Outer space related toys for a few years in the early to mid 1990’s. This extremely rare prototype of the toy Alien Anatomy was made in 1997. The toy is crafted of neon green rubber and depicts a four-fingered and three-toed alien with bulging eyes and stout body. The alien has a slit up and down the stomach and one across the forehead. The toy was meant to be stuffed with accompanying rubber organs and accessories and then the user would cut the stomach and head open with the provided fake scissors and perform an autopsy on the dead alien. Gory and cool! Included with the alien is an array of silver-colored alien body parts/organs and also a grouping of human objects such as a knife, camera, film reel, and also a glove/human hand. This Alien Anatomy toy is a prototype version that is slightly different than the versions subsequently released to stores. The organs in this version are silver as opposed to flesh/pink in the released versions. The alien comes in a prototype box pre-production box, hand-crafted by the designers, with cut and paste graphics adhered (ransom note style) on the front. This prototype toy presents very well: alien is in excellent, unused vintage condition, with very minimal shelf wear. Organs are glued to cardboard backing. Box is in reasonably good condition, with a tear on the bottom left corner, and a few minor tears and scuffing. This is a great opportunity to own a very rare and macabre one-of-a-kind toy from the 1990’s! Toys back then were just the coolest! Fresh to the market!
