Today we are excited to offer for sale a very rare and hard to find book, “Dictionnaire Et Grammaire De La Langue Cris” by LE Rev. Pere Albert Lacombe, published in 1874 by C.O. Beauchemin & Valois of Montreal. Lacombe is known as one of the founders of Western Canada due to his crucial role in peacemaking and territorial negotiations involving Native American tribes. Today, several buildings, monuments and geographical sites bear his name.
This book is in good antique condition, with wear and patina consistent with age and display. Book has been rebound so bindings are tight and sound while the pages remain very clean and mildly age toned. No mold, pet, or smoke odor or other surprises. A very attractive book, extremely scarce and fairly well preserved. Fresh to the market!
