Titled “Classic Dance” and numbered #4710, this beautiful porcelain figurine was produced by Lladro between 1973 and 1985. It features a young ballerina with brown hair, wearing a white dance costume/leotard and tutu and lavender ribboned toe shoes sitting in a grey and white chair. Her legs are stretched out and crossed at the ankle. A grey and white blanket is draped over the back of the chair. The piece is marked by Lladro in blue on the bottom, along with the artist’s initials and an individual number (these etched marks are faint but appear to be CBE and 71, respectively).
Figurine presents well and is in very good condition, with minimal display wear and no chips or cracks. There is minor manufacturing roughness on the underside/tip of draped scarf.
Dimensions: 9-1/2″ in height, 13″ in length/width (from toe to hem of blanket), appx. 4″ in depth (across back of chair legs)
