DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a beautiful and rare 1st Peacock edition of Jane Austen’s classic novel “Pride and Prejudice.” Printed in 1894 at Chiswick Press in England, and published by George Allen, this beautiful hardcover book features illustrations by Hugh Thomson. The edges of the pages are gilt, and the cover is fully illustrated by a stamped gilt peacock standing on a pedestal.
