Today we are happy to offer for sale a wonderful early 19th century set of four French literature books! These precious books are relics from the 1830s from the time of Napoleon!
Each hardcover book features a black cover with a hand-written label on the spine indicating the title/contents of the book. The books are part of the “Collection Portative D’ouvres Choisies de la Litterature Francaise” (Portable Collection Of Selected Works Of The French Literature) published by Father Mozin and Charles Courtin. Mozin was the author of two dictionaries, and books to teach the French and German language. Courtin was a Professor of Commercial Sciences and also French and German, Master of the Institute for Young Ladies, and Leader of Commerce at Mannheim in Germany. The books were printed in Stuttgart, Germany for the Charles Hoffman Library in 1830. The books are:

Books present very well and are in very good antique condition considering age and fragility. There is minor wear, toning, and patina commensurate with age and type of use. The covers have wear and minor losses to finish.
