This genuine antique piece dates to the 1930’s and is quintessentially American Art Deco. It’s not made by Chase so far as we know, but it looks like their aesthetic… most likely designed by one of the period’s top industrial designers (Loewy, Teague, Dreyfus, or Wright?). This pendant light is extra large and will make a statement in a multitude of interiors as its sleek and modernist design works well with both modern and vintage styles. The pendant is really nicely crafted and detailed. It features a large white opaline milk glass cone-shaped shade with wide concentric grooves. The shade mounts to a chromed metal 1-light fixture stem with central rod with double disk spacers and matching swiveling “hang-straight” ceiling canopy (suitable for angled ceilings). The canopy includes the original pull chain switch that can be wired-in during installation if one chooses to turn it on/off that way (just add a suitable length beaded chain). We’ve freshly wired the fixture so it’s completely ready for quick installation and safe operation.
Chandelier presents well and is in very good+ antique condition, with only minor wear and patina commensurate with age with amazingly minimal surface wear/scuffing or tarnish to chrome. Glass is original to the piece and shade has no chips or cracks. Fixture is in proper working condition.
Dimensions: 35-1/2″ in height, 17″ in diameter (shade), 6″ in diameter (canopy)
