Here we have a beautiful c.1850’s huge copper sauce pot, made by Duparquet Huot & Moneuse Co, a predominant US manufacturer of commercial stoves and other equipment for restaurants, hotels, steamships, and homes. The company was founded in 1852 in New York City and had branches in Boston and Chicago. This item features a cast iron handle on the lid as well as the pot, with hammered copper rivets. The pot features the company’s oval makers mark, “D.H.& M. Co. NY 43 & 45 Wooster St.” This is a beautiful piece of cookware that has been well preserved, and will look great in any kitchen!
Item is in great antique condition, complete with its matching lid which is rare to find with a pot this age! Copper is in beautiful condition, with a wonderful shine throughout. Item does show some minor surface abrasions throughout, and some oxidation on the inside of the pot, consistent with age.
