Description
This elegant set is beautifully crafted and detailed. The whole is made of heavy cast brass with lacquered gilt finish. The pieces are fashioned in the lavish French Louis XV Rococo style. The set is composed of an ornate stand with rocaille rococo base, shovel, poker, brush, and fire tongs, all with flame tip finial.
The set presents well and is in good antique condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age and use. There is surface scuffing, tarnish, and patination. The brush is missing some of its bristles (easy to find a replacement online if you choose).
