Today we are happy to present for sale a beautiful and rare antique woven Navajo Native American wool rug. This unusual piece, from the early 20th century, came to us through a collector’s estate.
The rug is beautifully hand-crafted and detailed. It is a low-pile woven wool rug with a geometric chevron design of brown, red, cream and black on a grey/beige background. This pattern is one of the most identifiable out of the many beautiful styles of Navajo blanket. The highly detailed pattern is aesthetically pleasing and would work well with a variety of decor styles.
Rug presents well and is in good antique condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age. Wear is present on the corners and there is one hole present in the blanket. Some discoloration and light staining commensurate with age and use is present; please review all photos prior to purchase.
