DIAL AND BACK WILL FIT INTO A 4-1/4″ ROUND OPENING
Today we are happy to offer for sale an antique 19th century French gilt bronze Japy Freres clock movement! This beautiful and ornate clock movement is manufactured by the venerable French clock-maker Japy Freres, a company that was established in the early 1800’s and closed in the 1930’s. The clock movement features a beveled glass bezel with an ornate gilt bronze filigree face. The clock movement and its’ parts were removed from a beautiful but damaged marble and bronze French clock. It is a common diameter and can be used in any number of styles of clocks. The movement was in working condition and with no missing parts upon removal so it should be good to go when you get it (except that you may have to perform the normal kinds of adjustments required once fitting it to a new case). No key. The movement includes everything neccessary to turn a case into a complete clock including the pendulum, back cover, adjustable brackets (to fit most caase depths), chime, and screws plus all related attachment hardware. Clock movement and pieces present very well and are in very good antique condition, with minor normal light wear and patina commensurate with age. This is a great opportunity to acquire a high quality and luxurious French clock movement that will upgrade or transform any empty case it is installed in into an heirloom! Fresh to the market!
