Today we are offering a lovely Franciscan covered 1/4 lb butter dish with apple top finial made by Gladding, McBean & Co. of California. This is just one piece of a large set of this China we recently acquired. There is an apple tree inspired pattern along the rims with various branches reaching inward. The butter dish measures 3 1/4″ tall, 3 5/8″ in depth, and 7 5/8″ in length. Marked on the bottom “Franciscan Hand Decorated Oven Safe”, “Gladding, McBean & Co”, “Made California U.S.A.”.
