Today we are happy to offer for sale a fabulous antique 19th century Victorian stoneware jardiniere! This beautiful piece is nicely crafted and detailed in a lavish 2nd Empire/Victorian Art Nouveau/Rococo style. The piece features a round, rotund body with scalloped rim and applied handles, with swirls forming panels framing flow blue flowers in cobalt set against a pale pink ground. The piece features a pleasing color scheme which is highlighted in gilding. There is an overall wonderful and warm time-earned patina which adds to the charm of this planter.
Planter presents well and is in good antique condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age. There is loss to gilding and surface crazing and discoloration. There is one small chip on inner rim.
