DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a beautiful antique early Japanese covered Totai jar. The piece dates from the 19th century and is finely crafted and detailed. It is made of ceramic/porcelain and features a rotund body with lid, the whole decorated in a beautifully-executed technique imitating wire cloisonne, with deep and rich colors and intricate designs. Signed on the bottom. What a great addition to any collection!
CONDITION: The jar presents well and is in good antique condition, with some wear and patina commensurate with. There is light scuffing, darkening, fading/crazing and minor losses to finish. The lid has some roughness/flakes to underside. Sold as-found so please review all photos.
