Today we are happy to offer for sale a wonderful vintage 1950’s Hummel Goebel Umbrella Boy hand painted porcelain figurine!
The famous Hummel figurines are a series of porcelain figurines based on the drawings of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel, O.S.F. (1909-1946).
The figure depicts a young blond boy taking shelter from rain under a large umbrella while sitting on the ground. He wears a flannel shirt with bandana, shorts, and patterned socks. The figure is marked on the bottom “W. Goebel W. Germany 152/0 A” and features the Full Bee mark.
Figure presents well and is in very good vintage condition, with very minor shelf wear and patina commensurate with age and careful cleaning. No chips or cracks. This delightful figure will make a great addition to any Hummel collection.
