Today we are excited to offer for sale a rare vintage Schuco Germany Telesteering 3000 car game!
This classic US-zone West German toy car steering game is finely crafted and detailed. The white metal car features four different gear settings on the front, which can be changed with a small metal tab. Use this wonderful little car in two ways: Either use the provided key to wind it up and let the car “drive” on its own, or attach the provided steering wheel to the coiled wires and the wires to the car, at which point you can steer it where you’d like it to go! 12 brightly colored wooden pegs are provided to test your driving agility! The bottom of the car is painted black and reads “Schuco Patent 3000, Made in US-Zone Germany”. Game includes original box (in desrepair, see photos) as well as the original car, key, steering wheel and pegs, as well as a wooden ball (purpose unknown, another driving obstacle?). The original wires are coiled in a brittle plastic bag with operating instructions in both English and German.
Model presents well and is in very good vintage condition, with very minor wear, patina and scuffing consistent with age and use. Box base is in fair vintage condition, top has major shelf wear and tears, with two flaps still intact. See all photos for details. Game has not been tested with wire, but car works perfectly with key. This will make a fine addition to any model car or vintage toy collection. Fresh to the market!
