This classic piece is crafted of yellow ware, which is a heavy earthenware made of a yellowish clay that can vary in color from light yellow to orange-yellow. Many nineteenth- and twentieth-century kitchen bowls and jugs were made of yellowware. It was made in England and in the United States. The base clay of yellowware is yellow with a clear glaze. This large mixing bowl features the classic triple brown band border with a big roomy interior for your large cooking needs. The piece is marked on the bottom “USA 120/-“. Mixing bowl is in excellent antique condition, with very minimal wear commensurate with age and occasional light use. No chips or cracks.
