This beautiful piece is nicely crafted and detailed. The sake bottle dates from the Edo period (c. 1850). The ceramic bottle features a pear-shaped body with off-white ground painted with cobalt blue scene of a flowering peony flower. The piece can also be used as a vase.
Bottle presents well and is in very good antique condition, with very minor display wear and patina commensurate with age. No chips or cracks.
