Description
DESCRIPTION: Doll collectors, don’t miss your opportunity to own this beautiful “Baby Dear” doll by Vogue! Created in 1960 by Eloise Wilkins for the Vogue Doll company, this lovely doll is 17-18″ tall, with a soft cloth body and beautifully detailed vinyl head and limbs.
This sweet baby doll has painted blue eyes and a pink bow mouth. (We’re saying “she” but this is a truly gender neutral newborn baby doll and can be dressed however you’d like.) Her legs and arms are bent like a small baby’s would be, with toes curled and one open and one closed hand. She has a sweet expression and is wonderfully cuddly and chubby.
The doll is marked with a “Vogue Dolls, Inc.” tag on the back of her neck on the body, and stamped “Eloise Wilkins 1960” on the back of the left leg, though the fabric of the body is stitched over the “Eloise Wilkins” and only the 1960 is visible.
Baby will be professionally packaged and placed in a large sturdy box for safe transit. She will be fully insured as reflected in shipping cost. A most wonderful addition to any collection!
CONDITION: The doll presents well and is in very good vintage condition, with minor display wear and patina commensurate with age. Wig has some loss, and body has some light discoloration. Limbs have light discoloration. No rips or tears noted. Does not come with an outfit. Please review all photos and ask any questions before purchase. Thank you!
