Description
Here we have a HUGE, OVERSIZED antique Chuck-a-luck game, also known as a “birdcage,” for obvious reasons. Though it is unsigned, we attribute this walnut base Chuck-a-luck to the maker H.P. Evans, c.1910. This is not one of the common smaller ones you see frequently; also this 2-post model with bell is almost never found! This item will surely add spice to any party, or game night!
This game has also been used for charities, so if you’re looking for a way to spice up the usual charity drive, this game is your answer! To see this item in action click here for our Video!
Item has been tested and is in great fully playable condition. The bell rings flawlessly when the cage is rotated. We shined it up and tuned it up a bit, though with the exception of a few small screws we had to replace, every part is original. Dice show some slight wear, but how could they not after spending years bouncing back and forth in a steel cage? The oversized wooden base shows some minor surface abrasions and the steel cage shows some slight patination consistent with true antiquity.
