Today we are happy to offer for sale a lovely antique 19th century Chinese export porcelain painted plate. This exquisite piece is hand-painted and embellished in a Famille Rose/ Rose Medallion pattern, which features a multitude of bright and vibrant colors such as green, pink, and gold. The intricate and multi-layer pattern depicts pieces of Chinese porcelain and vases interspersed with flowers, bugs, butterflies and a deer. This fabulous piece was made in China for the European market, where the demand for high quality Chinese export pieces was in great demand in the 18th and 19th centuries. Plate presents beautifully and is in very good antique condition, with very minor display wear and patina commensurate with age. There is a stable and very faint partial hairline fracture from the edge of under side rim to about 2/4 toward the center; this small flaw only visible from the bottom of plate. Item sold as-found. Overall a most pleasing piece that will add refinement and elegance to any fine Asian art collection. Fresh to the market!
