Today we are excited to offer for sale a fabulous art poster by the artist Larry Rivers, for his 1992 art exhibition at the renowned Nassau County Museum of Art in Rosluyn Harbor, New York. Larry Rivers (born Yitzroch Loiza Grossberg, August 17, 1923 – August 14, 2002) was an American artist, musician, filmmaker and occasional actor. Rivers resided and maintained studios in New York City, Southampton, Long Island, and Zihuatanejo, Mexico.
This poster, dated from 1992, displays a colorful and thought-provoking collage of Larry’s many artworks on display at the Nassau County Museum. The piece is hand-numbered 23/150 and hand-signed Larry Rivers ’92.
Presently, the poster, which measures 33″ by 22″, is matted and framed in a taupe and gold frame. The measurement with the frame is 37-3/8″ in height and 23-1/2″ in width. The frame will accommodate a piece of glass however there is no glass now. We will leave it that way for safer shipping and your local glass shop can make you a new piece (usually under $20) if you so desire.
The poster is in very good vintage condition, with very minimal wear display wear. There is a very small scratch on the edge of the poster on the bottom by the artist’s signature.
