The piece features a solid and un-marked (but jeweler-tested) 14k yellow gold setting with foliate etched detailed and elongated octagonal reversible flip top. The ring has two faces (cameo and black onyx); the black onyx face was reversed when the wearer was in mourning. The cameo face features a beautifully-carved shell cameo depicting a Gibson girl wearing a gold necklace adorned with a sparkling water-white old mine diamond chip. The reverse side features a plain and somber polished onyx stone with center concave facet adorned with a white gold-framed old mine diamond chip. Ring presents beautifully and is in very good antique condition, with very minimal wear and patina commensurate with age. There is very minimal wear around diamond setting on Onyx stone.
