Today we are happy to offer for sale a beautiful antique Chinese carved jade bird figural carving on stand. This early 1900’s beautiful carving is a small masterpiece from the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The figure is nicely crafted and detailed and beautifully carved. The statue is carved of beautiful and rich green jade and depicts a lovely mother bird perched up on a small floral tree branch with her wings up and open while looking down at her two small offspring, resting on branches beneath her. The three dimensional figure features intricate carving and crisp detail. The figure includes a bespoke carved wood fretwork display stand base. Piece presents well and is in good antique condition, with minor display wear and patina commensurate with age. There are a few small edge chips to some carved elements (likely having occurred in the making); the top of the main center branch is chipped and missing a piece. Add elegant Chinese scholarly style to any interior with this precious carving. Fresh to the market from a Rhode Island estate!
