Today we are excited to offer for sale a beautiful antique Peter Tereszczuk signed Art Nouveau bronze decorative tray! The celebrated sculptor Peter Tereszczuk was born in 1875 in the Ukrainian city Wybudow. He created most of his works, which stylistically correspond to the Art Nouveau period, during 1895 and 1925 in Vienna where he also spent most of his life time. Tereszczuk mainly created bronze sculptures, sometimes with very delicate elements and small figural art works like inkwells or other desktop items. He is a typical Art Nouveau and later Art Déco artist. The artist died in 1963. This intricately and expertly crafted art tray depicts a young and lovely shepherdess lovingly and attentively tending to her flock; in the distance towering clouds can be seen, while a forest looms behind the shepherdess. The piece is signed on the side “Peter Tereszczuk”. This sculpture presents beautifully and is in very good antique condition, with very minor shelf wear from being on display. This beautiful tray will make a wonderful addition to any fine Art Nouveau/Art Deco bronze collection, and will add warmth and worldliness to any room in your home or business. Fresh to the market…A special find for a special buyer!
