Today we are offering a lovely, hard to find German doll made by Schoenau & Hoffmeister around the turn of the century. This is a bisque socket head doll with a composition body, measuring 24″ with a replacement vintage wig. Her face shows brown sleep eyes and a cupids bow mouth complete with four upper teeth. She also has hand painted brows and upper & lower eyelashes, and beautiful rosy cheeks. The overall coloring of this doll is pink. She is dressed in very formal attire in the style of a 1920s flapper bride complete with all white satin dress with antique lace details, bloomer pants, rayon high socks, and tie front shoes with a rosette at the toes. She’s holding a bouqet of white flowers in her right hand. She is marked by the manufacturer on the back of her head, “Germany S (star) PB H 1909-5 1/2 Germany”. Ready to be collected or displayed and would make a lovely addition to any doll collection. Please take a look at all photos for a closer look.
