Today we are excited to offer for sale a wonderful Alessi Italy “Max Le Chinois” colander designed by Philippe Starck! Alessi (founded in 1921) is a world famous housewares and kitchen utensil company in Italy, producing everyday items created by famous designers. Philippe Starck (born January 18, 1949) is a French designer known since the start of his career in the 1980s for his interior, product, industrial and architectural design including furniture. Philippe Starck’s design for the “Max le Chinois” colander is an ironic object that takes its place in the rituals of cooking. It’s big, beautiful and expensive because of its aesthetics: but its design has a strong impact, which you can’t say for any other colander. Colander is done in 18/10 stainless steel mirror polished outside, with a mat finish inside. The feet are done in brass casting. The piece features a removable black plastic liner so that it can be used as an ice bucket or vase. Marked on the front “Officina Alessi/Inox 18/10/Italy”. Presents beautifully and in very good condition, like-new condition, with very minimal wear/scuffing and tarnishing from display and occasional handling. Add Italian and French elegance and style to any room in your home or business with this colander! Use it as a kitchen utensil, ice bucket, vase, or as a refined art object. Timeless style! Fresh to the market!
